Preparation: Before trimming, make sure your hair is clean and dry. Comb it out to remove any tangles.
Attach the comb: If you want a longer cut, slide the variable attachment comb onto the trimmer head. You can adjust it for a cutting length between 3 and 6 mm.
Hold the trimmer correctly: Hold the trimmer with the flat side of the comb or blade against your skin.
Trim against the grain: For an even cut, move the trimmer gently and steadily against the direction of hair growth.
Use the blade for detailing: For an ultra-close trim (0.3 mm) or for creating sharp edges and contours around the neckline or sideburns, remove the comb and use the blade directly. Hold the trimmer at a 90-degree angle to your skin for outlining.
Avoid pressing too hard: Applying too much pressure can cause an uneven cut or irritate the skin.
Check your progress: Use a mirror to check your work as you go. For the back of your neck, a handheld mirror can be helpful.
