1. Prep Your Hair
Dry is Best: For the strongest "heavy hold," apply to completely dry hair.
Damp for Shine: If you want a bit more shine and a slightly easier application, leave your hair very slightly damp.
2. Emulsify (The Most Important Step)
Scoop: Use one to two knuckles' worth of grease. It is very stiff, so you may need to use the back of your thumbnail to scoop it out.
Warm it Up: Rub the pomade vigorously between your palms until it is completely melted and clear. If it’s still clumpy, it will be difficult to spread through your hair.
3. Application
Distribute: Start at the crown of your head and work forward. Coat your hair from the roots to the ends.
Add More if Needed: If you have particularly thick or stubborn hair, apply another small layer. It's better to build up slowly than to over-apply.
4. Style
Comb: Use a fine-toothed comb to distribute the product evenly and set your part.
Shape: Since this is a "grease," it won't dry or harden. You can use your hands or a comb to sculpt a high pompadour, quiff, or slick-back that stays flexible all day.
